ARM and Synopsys Sign Multi-Year EDA Tools and ARM Cortex-A15 Access Agreements

ARM and Synopsys have signed an expanded multi-year agreementextending ARM's access to Synopsys' EDA technology.

ARM said it will also provide Synopsys with access to the ARMCortex-A15 processor to maximize performance and energy efficiencyof SoCs built by ARM's Partners using this ARM processor andSynopsys tools.

According to a release, ARM and Synopsys will enable mutualcustomers to get differentiated products to market with lower risk.

The agreement between ARM and Synopsys is designed to enable ARMCortex-A15 processor licensees to quickly achieve more effectiveresults.
