Vic: Intergraph director retrenched

The managing director of Intergraph Public Safety -- the company operating Victoria's
emergency dispatch system -- has been retrenched.

Ten staff working in the company's information technology area have also been retrenched.

Intergraph's parent company -- Intergraph Corporation USA -- says managing director
GREG BATCHELOR will be replaced by GRAEME FARRELL.

Mr FARRELL is Intergraph's senior corporate officer in the Asia-Pacific and is also
responsible for the company's other Australian operations.

An Intergraph spokeswoman says Mr BATCHELOR has been retrenched as part of a worldwide
restructure.

And she says the integrity of the emergency services dispatch system won't be compromised
by the change.

Victorian Health Minister JOHN THWAITES says the changes won't affect service delivery.
